THE HEIRLOOM SWEATER BY LYONS OF SCOTLAND
Inspired by the sweater my dad left me. I’m on a mission to create the world’s most loved sweater, for people to live in and love in, for life. We only use the finest Scottish cashmere, an intentional choice from a quality aspect and a nod to my Scottish father. Each Heirloom Sweater is made to order in Brooklyn, then sent to our embroiderer in Manhattan to make and attach our patches. Then sent to you.
Turning loss into life.
It was hard when my dad died. Going through his stuff I found an old sweater I remember him wearing when I was young. I used to wear it sometimes too. It was a very emotional charge. Touching it, smelling it. Moments with my father came back to me. Although sad, it connected me to him again. I needed to turn that pain, into something positive. For me, and for others I thought. I didn’t realize at the time, through a series of wonderful coincidences, I stumbled on the idea of The Heirloom Sweater.

In 2007 I created FirstRide – Safer, Cooler, Greener Cars for young drivers. The premise was to curate a collection of cars perfect for young drivers – only cars with top safety ratings, great design, and excellent fuel efficiency qualified – available for order online at a flat price, delivered to your door by the local dealer.
